The Couture Process

Consultation

Before the creative discussion begins, Daniel wants to fully understand you, your style, who you are now, and who you want to be. To create a one-of-a-kind look, Daniel will discuss your inspiration, body type, vision, and budget. From there, inspiration, ideas, and expectations are born.

Fabric and Design Selection

Daniel will then partner with you to discuss his curated fabrics and design sketches, tailored to your style and body type, to begin bringing the vision to life. Daniel has a story about every fabric in his studio. In a way, the fabrics call to him and even seem to dictate their use. He has acquired all types of fabrics throughout his travels and residencies. From satin to chiffon, lamé, velvet, and appliqué fabrics, Daniel works with a myriad of textiles in his effort to maintain quality, variety, and uniqueness.

Creations and Fittings

During the craftsmanship and fitting process, each design evolves from vision to reality. No matter the scope of the project, every step is thoughtfully discussed to ensure the final piece feels both intentional and personal.

In one such journey, a newly engaged woman in her twenties sought a non-traditional wedding dress. Daniel intuitively understood her vision and embraced the opportunity to create something truly unique. By honoring her cultural perspective, in which traditional white wedding gowns held conflicting meanings, Daniel was granted full creative freedom. The result was a one-of-a-kind gown infused with color and individuality, elevating not only the couple’s celebration but also the lasting memories captured forever. The finished dress left guests in awe and redefined what a wedding gown could be.
